The Go for IT Programme is a business training programme aimed at providing business information and support to local people. If you are interested in starting a successful business and making it grow then the Go for it programme can give you all the advice, training and support you need.


Through the Go for IT programme, you not only receive the expert guidance essential in getting started but on-going support as you develop and implement your plan. From the beginning you are assigned with a personal business advisor with extensive experience who will help you assess your resources, knowledge and needs and develop a course that works around you.  The next Go for IT Programme is due to commence on the 18th January 2010. The Exploring Enterprise Programme offers unemployed people from the Ballymoney Borough, the opportunity to take advantage of a FREE business training programme that allows the participants to gain a Certificate in Business Enterprise Level 2. Participants can benefit from 7.5 hours spent with their local business advisor before and after the course. This time is dedicated to the individual client's needs, whether this time is used to build a CV and develop interview skills, or complete a business plan and cash flow forecast in order to receive a loan or grant. The TradeLinks Programme is a business development programme, delivered by Enterprise NI & its network of Local Enterprise Agencies and the Border County Enterprise Boards, designed to assist the micro-enterprise sector across Northern Ireland and the Border counties of Louth, Monaghan, Cavan, Leitrim, Sligo and Donegal. Tradelinks will assist micro-businesses by providing:

  • A wide-ranging suite of programmes specifically designed to address the issues unique to the micro-enterprise sector.
  • A team of experienced assessors and mentors
  • the opportunity to form cross-border linkages with similar micro-enterprises
  • A full signposting service to other programmes.
